Willi Ninja, was born in April 12,1961 and died september 2, 2006. Willi Ninja grew up in flushing,Queens. from his early age to see his  keen interest in dance his mother took him to ballet performance at the Apollo Theater to support his identity and encouraged his interest. Willi himself prepared to be a star even though the financial condition had not good

William Roscoe Leake,famous as the nick name of willi Ninja,was an American dancer and choreo graper best known for his appearance in the documentary film Paris is Burning.

The God Father of  Voguing: Ninja ,known as the godfather of voguing.Everyone,surprisingly wants to known that what is voguing,it was a fixture of ball culture at Harlem's drag balls who took inspiration from sources as far flung as Fred Astaire and the world of haute couture to develop a unique style of dance and movement.


                            

Jennie Livingston, who featured this dance style in the film Paris is Burning. The film was successful,in the reference of critical and box office,this served Ninja as a springboard. After this he performed this a number of dance troupes and choreography gigs.

In 1989,the music video of Malcolm Mclaren's,named "Deep in Vogue",. this music video,finally  brought Ninja's style in mainstream. Another superhit video "Vogue",BY Madonna released her number one song,bringing further attention to the dancing style.

LGBTQ Culture

Getting inspired by Egyptian hieroglyphs and marital art's Willi developed revolutionary new dance techniques. Willi was also one of the first people to promote HIV/AIDS prevention at drag balls,and he was a key player in helping to break the stigma associated with the disease.

Willi introduced the world and paving the way for Black LGBTQ,In the year. 1980s and 1990s movement and dramatic poses.LGBT culture is related to the lesbian,gay bisexual,transgender,and queer individuals.


Willi went on to master the art of voguing, a dance style that combines fashion poses with intricate, mime and martial arts-like movements. According to the Doodle website, the dance form emerged from the Harlem ballroom scene, which was a safe space founded by LGBTQ+ Black and Latino folks to celebrate self-expression and togetherness.

"Most Black and Latino ballroom participants belong to groups known as houses, which offer an extended social family and safety net for those who face rejection from biological relatives. Willi co-founded his very own community called the House of Ninja in 1982, and continued to provide support and guidance for his house members even after he became famous," the website said.
